Earth Day 2026

To mark Earth Day, we would like to raise awareness around environmental protection and encourage practical actions that help safeguard the planet.

Across the Manchester Hub we have robust procedures in place relating to plant equipment and energy efficiency, which play an important role in managing our overall energy consumption. Alongside these measures, small day‑to‑day actions from all of us can further support our sustainability efforts.

 Coffee Pod Recycling

Please ensure all used coffee pods are disposed of correctly, as these should not be placed in general recycling. If your office area does not currently have suitable recycling facilities, please speak with the reception team for support.

 Battery Recycling

Used batteries should be placed in the designated battery recycling bin to ensure safe and responsible disposal. As part of the Mitie contract, battery disposal is included. If you have batteries to dispose of, please contact reception for assistance.

 Reducing Electricity Usage

We are encouraging all offices to make small changes on Earth Day to help reduce electricity consumption, including:

  •  Switching off computer monitors when not in use and at the end of the working day.
  • Ensuring meeting room lights are turned off when rooms are unoccupied.
  • Turning off appliances and equipment that are not in use.

While these actions may appear small, taken together they make a meaningful difference and help reinforce our ongoing commitment to sustainability.
