World Book Day - Children's Book Drive 2026

Our Manchester Hub community is once again driving donations of children's books for World Book Day on 5th March 2026. All books will be donated to the incredible local charity partner Wood St Mission and their Books Forever appeal.

We will be holding the book drive from Monday 9th February - Sunday 1st March.

Last year we received 288 books and 6 dress up outfits across our Hub, which we'd love to exceed once again this year.

We will be accepting both new and pre-loved books in a good condition*, books must be suitable for ages 0-16 years.

These can be adventure, fiction, picture, biographical, sport and even motivational and educational as we will be able to donate to so many different ages. But please consider content and ensure there isn’t anything explicit or inappropriate in content.

If like me your children have accumulated a mountain of books over the years, many of which they will have now grown out of, please do bring these to any of our Hub building receptions and drop off in our new branded donation points.

Books help to unleash a world of confidence in children and young people and can help to inspire a generation. Please do donate any if you can.

For more information on the excellent work carried out by Wood St Mission visit their site here.

*We would ask that when donating pre-loved items, similarly to our School Uniform Drives we ask that you "Think Dignity" when donating, for example, please consider if it's appropriate to donate partially completed activity or colouring books.
